A few things that I am thankful for...

After a long wait I finally received these books in the mail. I got my hands on the J.C Leyendecker book, Fables cover collection and the classic Creepy collection volume 1. So much art I don't know which one to look through first! If your a big comic guy I highly recommend picking up a few back issues of Creepy and Eerie. They are some of the best examples of story telling.

Great set of books! I picked up the FABLES COVERS and CREEPY books recently, and spent hours ogling the jealousy-inspiring artwork. I've yet to sit down and read the CREEPY volume (and I've already ordered the second), but I'll dive into that soon. I've yet to purchase the Leyendecker book, but it's been on my wish list since I saw it listed for preorder a couple of months ago. Maybe I'll find it under my tree next month.

I was stoked when I heard about a year ago that Dark Horse Comics would be collecting the CREEPY and EERIE series in nice hardcover volumes. I'm old enough to remember the magazine in its original incarnation and I've had several old issues in my collection for a long time. I've been slowly adding to the collection through the years, finding various issues for cheap at comic conventions. Those early issues are expensive and rare, though, and now I'm happy I get to own and read them finally. I almost wish that the collections were printed on newsprint to capture the feel of the original magazines, but I suppose they'll last longer like this.

This post is already way too long -- enjoy the books, Dustin!
