Marvel Monday!

 

Hey all, sorry about last Monday, my plate was pretty full for the week and I had no energy for a sketching. However it’s a fresh week and I managed to pump out these two warm up sketches. This Marvel Monday features everyone’s favorite Canadian superhero! Yeah that's right for those of you who don’t know Wolverine is Canadian…at least last time I checked. I also sketched this African guy some time this past weekend. Hope you all dig!

Late night painting

So I finished my comic page early today and instead of getting a head start on tomorrows pages; I decided to do some painting. I got this image from Carol Beckwith and Angela Fisher’s photography book titled  “African Ceremonies”. If you haven't seen it make sure you try and check it out! It is a huge 2 volume set that features some really stunning photos. My good buddy Andrew Wright turned me on to it when I began researching for my thesis back in the college days…

Marvel Mondays!

I couldn’t sleep so I got a head start on my Marvel Monday. I promise there will be a significant update in the near future, however in the mean time here is one of my all time favorite villains. He’s got a PHD in evil.

Marvel Mondays!

Yup that's right it’s my second Marvel Monday and I am already late. However in my defense I got a little carried away playing around with color. I figured it’s about time Daredevil got some props… I mean look at him, blind lawyer by day, and immortal badass of hell’s kitchen by night, it’s about time he got some props. Plus he and I share the same initials! Coincidence? I think not.
