Comics!

 DD_wgmdn_lineart_page01whengoodman_01_dustin_darnault

So last year I was asked to submit to Image’s comic book anthology POPGUN. Unfortunately my story did not make the final cut and has been sitting on my hard drive for who knows how long. Since the latest volume is being released I figured it was okay to dust it off and show it. This was my homage to those old “Creepy and Eerie” comics. I had a blast putting it together! Big thanks to the Popgun team for the opportunity!

*You can read the whole thing on here. While I set up a PDF.

Man, this thing feels sOoOoOo old now…

Tata Gala

I did this piece for Tata Gala. It should be in the show if it arrived in one piece. From what I understand they damaged my frame… Good old dependable Fed Ex…

Marvel Mondays!?!

MarvelMondays_powergirl_05

Ahem…

Down here fellas…

Yeah you! I am talking to you!

Now that I have your attention, I can proceed to explain that DC has a way better selection of Heroines. Marvel has a total of what? Like four good heroines. I think. She-Hulk. She comes to mind. She is still cool right? Whatever; I chose Power Girl here for her...well powers. Here is a thought; She-Hulk V.S. Power Girl. Now that's a good thought.

I am going to go and think about that now.

A few months back Francis and I took a little road trip up to Kansas City Missouri. There we were lucky enough to meet up with Brent, George, John and Mark. Trey and Jane were awesome enough to let us crash at there place and give us a nice tour of the city.

These photos are a couple months to late, but I figured why not post them anyways. I am kicking myself for not getting photos of Mark’s studio. George was snapping away of course, but who knows when he will post them… However you can see the whole set of photo’s my flickr!

Big thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome!

Some Western Wisdom anyone?

 western wisdom copywestern

I know. I know. I owe you a Marvel Monday… but in place of that I offer you these work doodles and a word of advice…“Never kick a fresh cow chip on a hot day.” Now see if you can slip that little nugget into a conversation some time today.
